Electrical Insulation
Kapton










Kapton polyimide film possesses a unique combination of properties that make it ideal for a variety of applications in many different industries. The ability of Kapton to maintain its properties over a wide temperature range (as low as -269°C and as high as 400°C). has opened new design and application areas to polyimide films.









 









KAPTON polyimide film can be used in a variety of electrical and electronic insulation applications: wire and cable tapes, formed coil insulation, substrates for flexible printed circuits, motor slot liners, magnet wire insulation, transformer and capacitator insulation, magnetic and pressure sensitive tapes, and tubing.

Cirlex®



Cirlex® polyimide technology has been developed to provide industry with a variety of thick polyimide sheets. Cirlex®, an all polyimide, adhesiveless laminate, offers a unique advantage over other laminated constructions using adhesives. Cirlex® can operate routinely in a temperature range from cryogenic to a maximum of 400°C. Cirlex® also exhibits excellent physical, dielectric and mechanical properties similar to that of Kapton® film.


Cirlex® is available in a range of thicknesses from 0.25mm to 20mm.



Cirlex® is available laminated to a wide variety of foils and other substrates using the same adhesiveless technology.

Wire Mesh Over Elastomer




Wire mesh over an elastomer is a double layer of wire mesh knitted over a round or rectangular core of elastomer. The mesh layers provide EMI/RFI shielding, while the elastomer acts as a dust and moisture seal. The standard mesh material is monel or tin-plated copper clad steel (SnCuFe).

Wire mesh/elastomer combinations are produced by vulcanizing shielding mesh, normally SnCuFe (Tin plated, Copper clad, Steel wire) or Monel, with an elastomer, either silicone or Neoprene. Metallized Fabric over Foam



Metalized Fabric over Foam combines the use of Highly Flexible Nickel over Copper Plated Polyester Fabric over a open celled polyurethane foam core to provide an economical, non-corrosive, highly effective, conductive pad. The bottom surface is supplied with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) strip with release liner if required.

Thermal Fabrics



Thermally Conductive Fabrics—Fabric reinforced silicone polymer sheets used to provide thermal management solutions where interface gaps are less than 15 mils. high performance thermally conductive Coated Fabrics provide solutions to difficult thermal management problems. Vikuiti™ BEF II films and Vikuiti™ BEF III films focus the light toward the user. In this way, the on-axis brightness of the display can be increased up to 114% over displays without film, which means brighter viewing and improved sunlight readability. 3M esrVikuiti™ Enhanced Specular Reflector (ESR) is an ultra-high reflectivity, mirror-like optical enhancement film. Utilizing 3M’s multi-layer polymer technology, its non-metallic thin film construction lends itself to incorporation into a wide variety of configurations and applications. Designed primarily as the rear lightguide reflector to be used with other Vikuiti films for high efficiency brightness enhancement in light recycling LCD applications, it can also be used alone in any application requiring a high performance specular reflector.     In outdoor applications, ETFE shows very little degradation over a long period of time despite constant UV radiation exposure, making this film an ideal candidate for PV solar applications.

    CHEMFAB® PTFE-coated fabrics are primarily based on woven glass fabrics coated with fluoropolymers such as Teflon® but also include aramid based fabrics using Kevlar® or Nomex® or similar type yarns. They offer outstanding non-stick performance, high temperature, chemical and fire resistance as well as excellent electrical properties. They are suitable for use in direct contact with food  (FDA compliant) as well as outdoor use in all weather conditions. 





     





     








     




    CHR® CHEMSTIK® range of products comprises PTFE coated and or laminated fabrics with a pressure sensitive adhesive on one side. Available with silicone or acrylic adhesives, CHEMSTIK® pressure sensitive tapes are frequently used as an alternative to CHEMFAB® non-stick solutions due to the ease of applying and positioning them to various surfaces and the ability to remove them when replacement is required.
